The WNC Economic Index and Report is a monthly report that provides a timely and accurate account of economic conditions in the 25 counties in western North Carolina. The on-going work archives key conditions and trends for the region, including how the region is preforming relative to state and national outcomes. The report is a cooperative effort by Appalachian State University’s Walker College of Business and the Center for Economic Research and Policy Analysis.
